So, I guess things really do get weird around here. The thing with the journals was pretty spooky. But at least it was only temporary.

I decided I want to be a Scavenger, so I really hope I get the job.

Is the meantime, is there anything to do other than work around here? I went down to the Marketplace and the park already, but I was a little nervous on my own that first time.

So I was told a little about this place and these journals, they’re pretty handy huh?

I’m new here, and you can call me Rotor. I could have called myself Tails since I have two, but I decided on Rotor instead.

I just got to temporary housing and…it’s kind of small, which is saying something since I'm a little small too, so I guess I need a job if I want a better place soon…I don’t want to sleep outside with the giant birds and squirrels either.

What work can kids do here I wonder? I’ll go look around some starting tomorrow. Maybe something with my hands…

OOC: Dream

This place lacked any real color, everything was dull and gray and muted, including the animals that lived in it. Except him in his bright yellow and whiteness…why was he so different from everyone? It was obvious that they saw it too, because they tended to avoid his gaze or whisper things to each other…and he felt like he didn’t belong. But why?

Then a streak of blue passed him by, leaving a world of color in its wake, and he felt awe and happiness. Twin tails rotated quickly and he was flying after the streak of blue, out of the city and into a world of green grass and blue water. It was amazing, but most important was the streak which he couldn’t seem to catch or get close enough to see what it really was.

Suddenly he bounced backward, landing on his rear with a round red wall blocking his way. The wall was really a giant round man with a big round belly and ugly mustache was in the way, and behind him an ocean of menacing metal monsters…and a foreboding machine that was constantly making more. The monsters swept towards him, and he couldn’t run, only watch as they bore down on him..

A sonic boom pushed them back and blasted him into the air, tails whirling to right himself, as the blue blur zipped through again. Oddly, the spinning world made the blur easier to see, and he made out red and whit sneakers and blue quills, before he landed with a splash in the water. He paddled in the direction that looked like land, and when he was close a hand closed around his wrist and pulled him out. The arm was mittened, with two spiky looking points at the knuckles and the arm was pink, and there were dreads…and then a towel was dropped on his head, while a girl giggled in the background.
